VAP Hanging out in the Virtual Space

VAP World Blog - 7th Installment

I met Raya Herzig when I was in England for the "Once Were Warriors" show in Exeter - in fact I stayed with her and her wonderful partner Oko, who picked me up at the airport!  Together they are a hidden jewel within the city of Exeter, and in this world. I asked Raya if I could write about her for the Veterans Artist Program and she graciously agreed.  Raya suffers from the worst post war trauma, that of being held in German concentration camps for five years where she lost her whole family with the exception of her sister.
